Regina Sofia was the only place I found in the city center of Bologna that served pizza baked in an Italian oven. Overall, their pizza was delicious, made with fresh ingredients, fantastic dough, and perfectly baked and same goes for their calzone, which was also excellent. The service was fast, and the staff were very helpful and spoke good English. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone who’s tired of eating pasta all the time!

We had dinner here during our first night in Bologna and really enjoyed it so we ended up having lunch here again on our last day. We had the pizza Capricciosa, Pasta Bolognese and Gnocchi, all of which were very good. The outdoor seating was nice although Bologna can be very hot in August. Overall, we had a great time here and would highly recommend to all!

Excellent pizzas! We loved them so much that we had them twice in the same day — and they were even better the second time! The best way to enjoy them is to grab a takeaway and sit by the main square, just a minute away — it’s a beautiful spot. The vegetarian pizzas, in particular, were fantastic!

I had a very good pizza here – fresh ingredients, a perfectly baked crust, and full of flavor. I also tried their cappuccino, and it was honestly one of the best I had during my stay in Bologna. The place has a nice, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. A great spot to enjoy a quality meal and relax!

I came here for the Gluten Free pizza. It was fantastic. They have a nice shady patio under the porticos. Both my GF pizza and my husband’s pizza were fantastic. Best pizza in Bologna.

Great bolognese Review from a fellow tourist If you are a tourist and you want to eat a great bolognese in Bologna, I would recommend this place. I have eaten a lot of bolognese in my home country because I love it, but this was my first time trying it in Italy, and specifically in Bologna. It is not even comparable. This bolognese was on an entirely different level. The staff is not the kindest. They simply do their job, nothing more. The restaurant is clean but nothing special. If you value customer service and ambiance more than the food, I would not recommend this place. Otherwise, if you are a tourist and want to enjoy a great bolognese in Bologna, this is a good choice.

We stumbled upon this little spot in Bologna and ended up having one of my favorite meals of the trip. The pizza was out of this world — that perfect balance of a fluffy dough with just the right oven-fired crisp at the edges. I had a glass of Sangiovese, lively and full of character, that paired beautifully with the Santo Stefano which includes three flavors: Napoli salami with ricotta and black pepper, “Margherita” and “Donna Peppa” pizza. The staff were so warm and attentive, it felt like dining among friends. It’s one of those places that reminds you why Italian food is pure joy — fresh, delicious, and made with heart.
